Objective of Position : This position is responsible for assisting the daily operations in the Accounting Department, which includes Accounts Payable and Accounting functions. Accounts Payable responsibilities include the timely review and processing of invoices. Accounting responsibilities include assistance with the preparation of correspondent bank reconciliations, general ledger account reconciliations, month-end close activities and special projects.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Check Freshservice requests for Accounts Payable requests
Verify that requests for payment are processed in accordance with the Accounts Payable & Capital Expenditures Policy and Business & Travel Expense Policy; include the proper authorizations that are within their approval limit; and assigned with proper general ledger account and cost center(s) prior to processing
Assist with daily and/or monthly reconciliations and variance analysis of certain general ledger accounts
Assist with preparing and posting general ledger entries to Prologue, the accounting software.
Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
Work individually or in a team and follow the instructions of their manager.
Participate in ad-hoc projects as needed.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office equipment. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices.

This role allows for a combination of remote and in-office work, with occasional visits to the office based on business needs. Specific in-office days may vary and will be discussed during the interview process.
Compensation & Benefits:
Byline Bank offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels.
The hourly rate for an internship is $18.00.

Depending on the specific role, compensation may also include discretionary bonuses and other benefit programs. The actual compensation package may vary based on factors such as skill set, experience level, and candidate's location.
