Description

We are looking for an organized and personable Medical Receptionist to join our team in Lake Mary, Florida. In this contract position, you will provide essential administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations within a healthcare setting. This role offers an opportunity to assist patients and staff while maintaining professionalism and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Greet patients with a friendly demeanor and assist them during the check-in process.

Schedule patient appointments and manage calendar coordination with healthcare providers.

Perform front office duties, including answering phone calls and responding to inquiries.

Verify patient information and update records in compliance with medical office procedures.

Maintain a clean and welcoming reception area for visitors and patients.

Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient needs.

Handle basic medical terminology to accurately process documentation and patient records.

Assist with patient check-out procedures, including payment collection and follow-up scheduling.

Ensure confidentiality and security of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

Previous experience in a medical front office or receptionist role.

Proficiency in patient scheduling and appointment management.

Experience with Athena is a plus but not required.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written.

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a busy environment.

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and practices.

Detail-oriented demeanor and a customer-focused approach.
