In this position...
Manage Electrical Safety Program (Arc Flash and Shock Hazard) for the facility, including conducting Arc Flash/Shock Hazard study of the facility's electrical distribution system. Provide appropriate arc flash labeling for electrical components. This position is also "Authorized Electrical Engineer" for the plant and implements the program in coordination with the Plant's Master Electrician.
What you'll do...
Must know AutoCAD software and is responsible for maintaining the plant's electrical distribution system drawings
Must have excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written, and must be able to perform the duties without much supervision
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook is crucial
Responsible for writing and managing annual Capital Improvement Budget (CIB) Projects (MEARS application)
Support the electrical aspect of all facility projects for construction & maintenance, and provide electrical details to the electrical trade leader for execution of the facility projects
Provide electrical/controls support for the Powerhouse and waste treatment. Familiar with Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PowerLogic software
Must be able to adhere to FAS08 standards and requirements
o Substation PMs
o Buss shutdowns
Run maintenance of electrical distribution system, including substation breakers, transformers, and 480V buss system/PMs, 13.8K medium voltage distribution
Maintain emergency power systems, including generators, lighting, and auto transfer switches
Manage energy conservation program for the facility; conduct energy conservation team meetings, report on the plant's energy conservation efforts, and take steps to achieve annual energy savings targets. Conduct weekend energy audits and prepare a report for management review.
Write annual purchase orders for facility service contracts and maintenance of the fire protection system, plant security system
Familiarity with Ford's network systems, CPN/MPN, Control PLC virus protection, FIS
Review/approve PMs for facility electrical systems, set up new parts (1295)
Review department safety measurables & coordinate improvement activities
Drive continuous improvement and SQDCPME processes
You'll have...
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering OR a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience in industrial electrical power distribution systems
Experience with industrial electrical power distribution systems
Ability to perform electrical load calculations, demand analysis, and system capacity evaluations
Understanding of load balancing across substations, transformers, and bus systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
Proficiency in AutoCAD and maintaining electrical one-line diagrams
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Knowledge of 8D problem solving and leadership behaviors
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
Familiarity with plant electrical infrastructure including substations, breakers, transformers, 480V distribution systems, and 13.8K medium voltage distribution
Even Better, You'll Have...
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
Active Kentucky Master Electrician License or Professional Engineer (Electrical) License strongly preferred
Experience conducting Arc Flash and Coordination Studies
Experience performing electrical load studies, system modeling, and capacity planning for facility expansions or new equipment integration
Experience with utility coordination and long-range power demand forecasting
Experience in automotive or heavy industrial manufacturing environments
Energy management or sustainability program leadership experience

This position is a salary grade 5 and ranges from $63,480-106,680., This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $72,480-121,440., This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $84,480-141,360., This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $96,720-162,120.
