Our client is a global company. They are looking for a Labor and Employment Counsel to join their team.

Job Summary

We are adding an experienced labor and employment attorney to partner with HR and leadership on employee matters and ensure compliance with employment laws. This role works cross-functionally to provide practical, business-focused legal guidance in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Advise on multistate and federal employment law (employee relations, terminations, leaves, wage & hour, investigations, etc.)

Partner with HR to assess and improve policies, practices, and compliance

Develop policies, trainings, and employment agreements

Identify and mitigate legal risks

Lead internal investigations and manage employment litigation (including outside counsel)

Communicate legal guidance clearly to business stakeholders

Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership.

At least 8 years of experience in labor and employment law, with a combination of law firm and in-house experience.

Extensive knowledge of employment laws, including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, and other relevant regulations.

Proven expertise in both unionized and non-unionized work environments.

Strong skills in civil litigation, including drafting motions, briefing, and discovery processes.

Exceptional communication and judgment for managing relationships with stakeholders.

Experience in immigration and payroll law is a plus.

Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic work environment.
