Finance Director, Animal Nutrition - U.S. & Canada
Position Summary:
The Finance Director will provide leadership and be part of the U.S. & Canada Animal Nutrition Leadership Team, responsible for providing strategic financial leadership to drive business performance, support growth initiatives, and ensure true business outcomes from strategic operational projects and enhancements.
The Finance Director will lead the development, reporting, and follow-up of key goals related to financial performance, with strong linkages to business performance drivers, so that all relevant metrics are aligned and drive results.
This position will lead and supervise a team and is accountable for ensuring a strong focus on results and processes, driving continuous improvement, and communicating clearly with bottom-line impact. The role also ensures that capital projects and strategic initiatives are effectively evaluated and monitored after implementation. He/she will ensure commercial and manufacturing strategies are fully aligned with key business strategies.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities span the following:
Directly report to the Finance Director, ADM NA Animal Nutrition; develop robust processes for monthly reporting analysis, operational metrics performance tracking/forecasting, annual budgeting, and support the five-year strategic planning process in close partnership with the regional BU leader and the regional BU Controller.
Collaborate across functions to ensure alignment between financial objectives and operational execution.
Work closely with FP&A and business leaders to analyze trends, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend actionable solutions.
Lead financial analysis of key projects/initiatives.
Identify and drive continuous improvement in financial processes, including reporting and data analytics, to develop dashboards and management tools as part of the monthly and quarterly reporting processes.
Play a key role in annual and five-year strategic planning; for the assigned business, lead the strategic planning cycle and build the business plan, including operating, capital, and financial components. Partner with all BUs to ensure alignment with their respective goals, capital investments, and cost-management initiatives.
Identify risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to address them, while maintaining a strong financial analysis foundation by creating forecasts and models to increase efficiency and productivity.
Provide leadership through training, coaching, and developing a team of colleagues to ensure appropriate financial insights and opportunities are understood; perform other special projects as required to support key initiatives.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration;
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position within large multinationals, close to operations (manufacturing, logistics, and distribution); international or global exposure and breadth of management experience; experience in processing businesses.
Experience working in an organization with centralized services functions or global centers of expertise
Ability to work in a challenging environment with multiple, changing and competing priorities.
Results and continuous improvement oriented; ability to drive initiatives and lead changes.
Excellent & effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
Proven experience in finance integration and handling complexity.
Results-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset; high level of integrity and accountability.
Functional experience:
Prior experience within ADM or in the industry is desired, as understanding ADM's complex business model will be an accelerator in the learning process.
Minimum of five years of experience in financial planning, reporting and analysis; conversant with corporate finance concepts.
Solid analytical, data analysis, and valuation skills; Power BI or related analytics tools.Capital budgeting and investment experience, including partnership opportunities and strategic investments; experience with due diligence, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

The pay range for this position is expected to be between:

$121,900.00 - $200,100.00
