Advantech Industries, Inc. is a family-owned manufacturing company based in Rochester, New York, specializing in CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and assembly services. The company, founded in 2002, serves multiple industries, including defense, medical, and aerospace, and operates out of a 250,000-square-foot facility.

JOB SUMMARY

Advantech Industries Inc. is seeking an Engineering Co-op student who is looking to complete a co-op requirement within our fast-paced manufacturing shop. The selected candidate will act as an intermediary between sales and engineering, and will be expected to interface with all team members on a daily basis. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the manufacturing process-from inception to delivery.

Duties of this position are varied and may include the following:

Prepares RFQs for the sales department.

Makes prints and downloads files from secure customer sites.

Maintains electronic master file system.

Supports production quality documentation.

Secures materials pricing.

Updates and submits Production and Engineering forms for review.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Understanding of mechanical fasteners

Knowledge of computers, Microsoft products (primarily Outlook, Excel, and Word), and the ability to work with many different file @types is critical

Ability to troubleshoot

Ability to create concise visual instructions

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering

According to the New York Pay Transparency law, the pay rate for this job is $20.00 / hour.
