Primary Mission
The Director, Business Development, will work as an integral part of the Space Systems Sector BD team, focused on:
Leading cross-functional teams to drive coordinating and capture success across the enterprise
Planning capture efforts frominitialopportunity interest brief through award and building the requisite team
Achieving andmaintainingExecutive support through Sprint/Status Reviews, Gate Reviews, and signoffs
Developing insight into customer needs, wants, and concernsleveragingand partnering with the BD team and other capabilities within the enterprise
Developing capture strategies (including offering approach, shaping, and advocacy) based on customers, competitors, and the Business Case to improve the probability ofacquiringprofitable business
Managing the execution of high-priority projects that support business growth and long-term objectives
Providing counsel to the VP, BD on strategic, operational, and organizational matters, and ensuring alignment to the enterprise and sector goals
Overseeing day-to-day operations related to business development, ensuring processes and systems support overall efficiency

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree?and?15+?years of Aerospace & Defense experience
ActiveTopSecretsecurity clearance at time of application
Proven credibility andexpertisein capture strategy and execution
Strongprojectmanagementskills; able to drive initiatives with urgency, accuracy, and efficiency
Technical fluency: can master complex topics and translate them for senior company and customer executives
Established relationships and deep knowledge of Department ofWarandNationalSecuritycustomersand theiracquisition processes, including requirements development and budgeting
Demonstrated success as capture lead on multiple competitive pursuits
Outstanding verbal communication; experienced briefing senior executives
Experience leadinggovernmentcustomerengagements
Lead role on large proposals (proposal manager or senior proposal leader)
Track recordof developing talent and providingpeopleleadership
Preferred Qualifications
Multidivisionor multisector capture/campaign experience
Bachelorsin engineeringor a technical field and a master's in technical or business discipline
Experiencewith the development / deployment ofweapon systems, interceptor systems,killchainarchitectures, and related technologies

Primary Level Salary Range: $176,100.00 - $264,100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
