Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer will provide onsite technical assistance and troubleshooting/repair of electronic and electro/mechanical products to customers. This role involves traveling to customer sites approximately 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

Provide onsite technical support for electronic and electro/mechanical products.

Troubleshoot and repair equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Travel to customer sites to address and resolve technical issues.

Operate test instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and volt meters.

Read and understand parts lists, catalogs, price books, and service procedures.

Essential Skills

Associates Degree in Electronic Engineering/Technology with 3 years of experience or a BSEE at entry level.

Proficient knowledge of electrical products and equipment.

Experience with PLCs, VFDs, drives, motors, and testing equipment.

Ability to read and interpret control wiring diagrams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with industrial drives and AC variable frequency controllers.

Knowledge and experience with servo motor controllers.

Familiarity with various @types of PLCs and the ability to troubleshoot and modify programs.

Experience with industrial fieldbuses such as DeviceNet and Profibus is preferred.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bridgeport, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $34.00/hr.
