Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing financial processes, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with established accounting standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to month-end close activities and other essential accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and execute month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are properly recorded.

Prepare and post journal entries for various accounts and transactions.

Perform thorough account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and maintain accuracy.

Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve any outstanding issues.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies.

Analyze financial data and reports to support decision-making processes.

Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency. Requirements - Proven experience in month-end close processes and financial reporting.

Strong knowledge of general ledger management and reconciliation.

Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries.

Demonstrated ability to perform detailed account and bank reconciliations.

Solid understanding of accounting principles and compliance standards.

Advanced proficiency in accounting software and tools.

Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams.
