Description

The Electrical Foreman is responsible for the direct supervision of a crew of electricians and apprentices engaged in the installation, termination, and testing of electrical systems. This role ensures that all electrical work is performed safely, to the highest quality, in compliance with all codes, and in alignment with the project schedule.

Plan, coordinate, and directly supervise the daily activities of the electrical crew

Oversee the installation of electrical systems, including conduit, cable tray, wire, terminations, electrical equipment, and instrumentation

Read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, schematics, and specifications to ensure accurate installation

Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and project-specific quality standards

Enforce all project safety procedures, with a primary focus on electrical safety, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), arc flash protection, and energized work protocols

Coordinate with other craft foremen to deconflict work areas and ensure a smooth and efficient workflow

Manage and direct electrical testing activities, such as continuity checks, megger testing, and high-potential (hi-pot) testing

Monitor crew productivity, work quality, and progress, making adjustments as needed to meet project objectives

Maintain accurate records for the crew, including daily reports, installed quantity tracking, and test documentation

Qualifications

Ability to apply verbal and/or written instructions or other information

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 10 years' experience

Must meet standards to qualify for and maintain the Company's vehicle driving privileges as outlined in the Company's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy

Must be able to assess through Burns and McDonnell assessment program

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to stand, walk, sit, or reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, push and pull

Ability to use repetitive hand motions and the ability to grasp and operate field tools and equipment

Ability to climb on, in or through equipment in confined spaces and elevated work using fall protection harnesses

Ability to work long hours with infrequent days off, night shifts, and in adverse climates

Ability to use respirators or Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus

Ability to utilize vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Ability to lift, carry and or move up to 50 pounds

Ability to work in an environment with loud noises and vibrations for extended periods of time

Ability to properly wear and/or use Personal Protection Equipment

COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS

Ability to seek advice, make decisions, exercise sound judgement, and solve problems

Ability to work under stressful situations

Ability to learn and adopt new processes and technology

This job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled.
