About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic Divisional Account Manager - Team Lead to join our high-growth Account Management team within S&P Global Market Intelligence. This unique role blends individual contributor responsibilities-managing your own portfolio of Corporate clients-with leadership and mentorship duties, supporting the development and performance of fellow team members. You will drive your own book of business while actively coaching, guiding, and being accountable for the collective success of your team.
The Team:
Our Industrials team focuses on Non Financial Corporate Clients within Healthcare, Capital Goods, Manufacturing, Consumer Discretionary among others. We represent a broad suite of Market Intelligence solutions, including Data & Research and Risk & Valuation Services, and collaborate closely with Enterprise Solutions teams to deliver comprehensive, multi-product strategies. This is a fast-paced, dynamic environment where intellectually curious, commercially driven individuals thrive.
Responsibilities and Impact:
Individual Contributor Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary commercial lead for your assigned portfolio of clients, driving net revenue growth through strong relationships and comprehensive solutions.
Develop a holistic understanding of each account, including business objectives, budget cycles, organizational structure, and ongoing opportunities.
Build multi-threaded relationships across client stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor and identifying opportunities for growth and retention.
Lead renewal and expansion negotiations, working with legal/procurement to finalize contracts and pricing changes.
Promote adoption of new offerings, capabilities, or modules, and act as the voice of the client internally.
Player-Coach / Leadership & Mentorship Responsibilities:
Mentor, coach, and support a group of Account Managers, sharing best practices and providing guidance on account strategy, client engagement, and commercial execution.
Actively participate in team pipeline reviews, deal strategy sessions, and renewal planning, offering actionable feedback and support.
Be accountable for the performance and results of your mentees, helping drive team targets and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture by encouraging knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and professional development.
Partner with leadership to identify training needs, onboard new team members, and contribute to process improvements.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
Coordinate resources across Sales Specialists, Business Partners, and Implementation teams to deliver comprehensive solutions for both your own accounts and those of your mentees.
Provide client and market feedback to inform product roadmap and service improvements.
Ensure alignment with CCO Strategy for key accounts and support the broader team in executing on strategic initiatives.
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $95,007 to $130,157. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We Are Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
10+years of experience in sales and/or relationship management roles, with a proven track record of managing a book of business
Demonstrated experience mentoring or coaching peers, with a passion for developing others
Strong Excel and Salesforce.com skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with executive presence
Willingness to travel for client visits
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with market data, analytics, or financial intelligence platforms
Demonstrated success in driving renewals, upsells, and cross-sell initiatives
Consultative, strategic, and commercially minded
Intellectually curious, highly collaborative, and comfortable in a player-coach capacity
