Job Title: Safety Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Safety Technician to oversee and perform safety orientations, conduct Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), lead safety meetings, and manage safety protocols for both internal teams and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

Conduct safety orientations and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) for team members.

Lead and facilitate regular safety meetings.

Oversee safety protocols for both internal staff and subcontractors.

Implement and manage construction safety procedures.

Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and regulations.

Conduct safety training sessions to enhance workplace safety.

Essential Skills

Experience in solar and construction safety management.

Proficiency in OSHA regulations including OSHA 30, OSHA 500, and OSHA 510.

Strong background in health and safety management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in safety or a related technical field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety.

Minimum of 5 years' experience in construction safety and completion of the OSHA 500 Training Course.

Certified Healthcare Safety Technician (CHST) designation with at least four years in a construction safety role.

Work Environment

Work at an outdoor solar project in Virginia, typically 5-6 shifts per week, totaling 40-50 hours. The day begins at 7 AM with a safety talk, followed by three breaks throughout the day. Expect to wear outdoor work clothing. Mileage is compensated for work-related tasks, and use of a company truck or personal vehicle is supported with mileage compensation. A per diem of $3,000 is offered monthly.

This is a Contract position based out of Farnham, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
