Own the last mile volume plan that shapes how millions of heavy and bulky packages reach customers' doors each year. You'll lead quarterly planning cycles that directly impact customer experience, delivery speed, and cost efficiency across North America.
Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) delivers large, heavy, and bulky products with special handling services like Room of Choice delivery, Haul-Away, and Installation. As a Supply Chain Manager on the Long Range Planning team, you'll build full year volume plans, partner with finance and operations teams, and drive data-driven decisions that optimize our delivery network from current quarter through year end.
You'll communicate in verbal and written form to senior stakeholders, solve ambiguous problems with a data-oriented approach, and identify gaps with innovative solutions that improve customer experience, reduce cost, and help create a best-in-class delivery network.
Key job responsibilities
Lead the North America AMXL Last Mile volume plan from current quarter through end of year
Build and maintain site and package level attainment plans that determine delivered volume, carrier mix, service volume, and route density
Collect, validate, and model inputs to build full year volume flows within network constraints
Drive leadership alignment to lock challenging yet achievable quarterly targets and gain approval of the optimal plan
Own the data and communication handoff to carrier planning and finance teams for quarterly cycles
Build, maintain, and improve planning models in partnership with data science and analytics teams
Develop data-driven tracking mechanisms to monitor plans against performance and trends over time
Analyze plan variances to identify root causes and develop bridges that explain key metric changes
Invent and simplify planning mechanisms to streamline integration across short-, mid-, and long-term planning horizons
Drive continuous improvement through process automation and scalable mechanisms
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure aligned plans across the end-to-end supply chain
A day in the life
You'll lead North America AMXL Last Mile quarterly volume plans, partnering with finance, operations, carrier planning, network design, and data science teams. Your plans ensure integration between short-term execution and long-term strategy, and you'll develop bridges that explain key metric changes from plan to plan.
You'll analyze data to optimize existing strategies and identify opportunities to improve delivery network performance. When new information surfaces, you'll dive deep and present optimal solutions to leadership based on your data-driven supply chain modeling. Success in this role directly impacts customers by optimizing the journey from warehouse to doorstep for Amazon's heavy and bulky products.
About the team
The NA AMXL Long Range Planning team owns the quarterly and full current year plan for AMXL's end-to-end supply chain. We set challenging but achievable targets and build the roadmap to accomplish them, connecting execution teams with long-term strategy.
Our mission is to set the benchmark for a world-class heavy and bulky supply chain in customer experience, speed, sustainability, and cost. We partner across finance, operations, carrier planning, and data science to deliver aligned plans that leadership can commit to.
Basic Qualifications
2+ years of supply chain experience
3+ years of program or project management experience
3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
Bachelor's degree
Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
3+ years of driving process improvements experience
Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
Master's degree

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
