Summary You will serve as a Supervisory Financial management Analyst in the Comptroller Directorate of SUPERVISOR OF SHIPBUILDING BATH. Responsibilities You will serve as liaison for budget, accounting, management-financial reporting, and financial management policy and procedures within the organization. You will direct continuing program execution review, analysis, and appraisal of the major operating and support programs within the organization. You will prepare briefs for senior managers on program execution and provide recommendations to correct program, variances or problem areas. You will perform analysis and interpretation of the financial significance of past events and future plans and provides timely data for us in the direction, evaluations and control of operations. You will conduct management evaluation, prepare or review responses and recommend alternatives for corrective action to issues of financial consequence raised in audit reports, budget reviews, and inspections. You will be responsible for shipbuilding program related funding received and executed by the command. You will provide financial management consultation, analysis, planning and forecasting support to the Command to aid in achieving effective financial management and aid in management decisions. You will utilize financial systems (Navy ERP, DTS, WAWF). You will provide financial management of appropriated funds and command budgets (e.g. accounting. budget, financial management and reporting, fiscal policy). You will provide recommendations to stakeholders within and outside the organization. You will perform as a supervisor providing technical and administrative oversight, advice and instruction. You will plan work, set priorities and schedule work as necessary to assure effective and expeditious accomplishment of priority work. You will utilize knowledge of the Appropriations law and use of funding @types, specifically shipbuilding and conversion Navy funding. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing the functions of a financial management program (e.g. accounting, budget, management- financial reporting or financial management policy) to advise on the program execution and provide recommendations to stakeholders within an organization. Education Additional Information This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-04 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15. This position has a control point; thus the salary range may be capped at the GS-15, step 05, which is equivalent to $189,902. If your current salary is above this amount, your salary may be matched.
