Job Description
Responsible for leading small- to medium-scale, enterprise-wide Commercial Market development initiatives. Acts as a thought leader for the generation and refinement of Commercial Market Strategy & Innovation ideas and carries through from ideation to product design, requirements definition, execution, and launch to market. Supports the Commercial Market portfolio development efforts related to new market offer components. May support more senior Product Developers on large-scale Commercial Market development initiatives.

What You'll Do
Develops ideas from inception, through the different staged gates of product development and delivery, to the market launch of the offering
Collaborates with Strategic Advisors to evaluate market offer opportunities to determine impact on Commercial market
Collaborate and execute critical activities such as complex financial/qualitative analysis and thought leadership at a departmental and enterprise level
Facilitate communication and present information to both internal and external stakeholders at all levels, including senior-level leadership, to effectively drive programs/initiatives
Assists in evaluating, as needed, strategic vendor partners to provide innovative and market differentiating capabilities and may participate in the assessment, selection, and contract negotiations of these partners/vendors
Organize and communicate progress towards the completion of overall work portfolio
Manages projects and cross-functional teams working on significant business strategies and opportunities
Works cross-functionally across the enterprise to define and develop proof of concepts, business cases, designs, business requirements, and functional specifications for assigned strategic initiatives
Supports the development of business cases in collaboration with strategic teams buy-in for the initiative and detail delivery components.
Identifies and obtains leadership buy-in for the pricing strategy in collaboration with actuarial resources
Collaborates on the marketing/launch strategy by providing key information and knowledge on the product/offer.
Reviews and approves external literature, training material, requirements, functional specifications, and test plans and results
What You Bring
Bachelor's Degree
3 years experience in marketing or product development.
In lieu of degree, 5 years of experience as stated above.
Bonus Points
Previous work experience in health insurance or healthcare industry with multi-faceted knowledge of delivery systems as evidenced by at least 3 years of direct work experience as a Product Developer or Associate, Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Business Solutions Architect, Project/Program Manager, and/or Product Owner is strongly preferred
Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation, and active listening skills
Excellent PC skills (e.g., MS Office Suite, MS Project, Visio/draw.io)
Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and prioritize activities to meet deliverable dates and/or changing priorities
Strong negotiation, problem-solving, decision-making, and influencing skills to work with people across the enterprise, garnering input and buy-in.

Salary Range
At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. Our base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus*, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs.
*Based on annual corporate goal achievement and individual performance.
