Day to Day
Indeed's Monetization Enablement team is seeking exceptional software engineers to join us in delivering high-priority, revenue-generating product initiatives alongside other Monetization Platform and Experience teams. This team is also responsible for maintaining high-quality and reliability standards for various CT1 applications. Together, Monetization teams are responsible for the business-critical revenue-earning systems with the mission to help employers best monetize their investments and find the right candidates for their job posts, easing the job of finding the right people, right now.
The challenges that come with the scale of Indeed's ecosystem pose interesting technical problems to solve, so we could move, build and innovate faster. You will join a team that focuses on:
Designing and build world-class systems that help employers find the best candidates and help job seekers find their dream jobs by engaging with multiple teams across Monetization across time zones
Working in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the high-impact revenue-critical initiatives that improve employer experience across 60 countries
Defining, understanding, and implementing tech health metrics, including monitoring and alarming practices, and build best-in-class operations
Utilizing AI Coding Assistants and other LLM-powered tools to increase the delivery, velocity and quality
Working closely with other engineering leaders, product and program managers, and other partners across the organization
Running experiments in a fast-paced, analytical culture so we can quickly learn and adapt our work.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance software systems
Contribute to system architecture and technical design, validating solutions through data and experimentation where appropriate
Participate in code and design reviews to maintain high engineering standards
Own and support applications during business hours, ensuring system health and reliability
Use metrics, logging, and analytics to make data-informed decisions and improve system performance
Collaborate closely with partners across engineering, product, data science, and design to deliver solutions
Contribute to cross-team initiatives and support the growth of other engineers through mentorship and knowledge sharing
Skills/Competencies
Requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience
Deep experience in building and supporting high-performance and highly available distributed systems, preferably in digital advertising. (ex Kafka, streaming)
Experience designing and delivering high-quality, maintainable, and reusable software systems; ability to break down complex problems into smaller pieces
Experience with Agile, web services, middleware, databases, and cloud services (AWS preferred)
Experience working with AI Coding Assistants (Cursor, Claude, Windsurf, etc.)
Demonstrate a high level of accountability for your work and the problems you solve
Experience working with distributed development teams across time zones, in a multicultural environment

Tier 1 - United States of America 100,000 - 150,000 USD per year
Tier 2 - United States of America 111,000 - 167,000 USD per year
Tier 3 - United States of America 122,000 - 184,000 USD per year
Tier 4 - N/A
Tier 5 - United States of America 140,000 - 210,000 USD per year
