Summary About the Position: This position is located at U.S. Special Operations Command (Army), SOTF Fort Bragg, NC Responsibilities Develops and coordinates logistics support actions on air operations, procedures, contingency stock, Basis of Issue Plans (BOIP), and Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDAs). Resolves controversial issues relating to policy, procedures and planning for short and long range projects as they pertain to Aerial Delivery, parachutist/life support oxygen systems, Military Free Fall (MFF), and air delivery operations. Serves as senior technical advisor on boards to develop new parachutes, Aerial Delivery systems and parachutist/life support oxygen systems. Captures freefall jumps using both high speed video and still photography of high quality used to critique the parachutist being filmed. Monitor and inspect unit parachute packing facilities and procedures to ensure compliance with USASOC, USSOCOM and Army Regulations, Training Circulars and Training Manuals. Safely train students with zero freefall parachuting/aerial delivery experience up to a level that allows them to graduate from an approved Joint Military Freefall Basic course of instruction, (COI). Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) Planning long- and short-range projects related to aerial delivery systems, such as parachutes, life support equipment, Military Free Fall (MFF) and other @types of parachutist/aerial delivery equipment. 2) Coordinating logistics for support actions on air operations, procedures, contingency stock, and Basis of Issue Plans (BOIP). 3) Providing aerial expertise on construction, design, test, and safety. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
