Summary You will serve as a CHIEF ANALYST in the Deputy Technical Directors Office (TDB) of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV NEWPORT RI. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15. Responsibilities You will be responsible for developing and implementing analysis methods in order to quantify the impact of the ocean environment on USW system performance. You will serve as the government technical authority for analysis for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center's Tactical Oceanography Center of Excellence. You will be responsible for prototyping analysis methods that integrate oceanographic variability and understanding of workflows for responsible for prototyping analysis methods that integrate oceanographic variability and understanding of workflows. You will collaborate with NUWC Chief Engineers and NAVSEA Technical Warrant Holders. You will ensure that TACO analysis efforts employ and leverage validated and authoritative means to model USW systems. You will be responsible for leading and mentoring a diverse technical workforce in efforts to operationalize oceanographic concepts. You will display detailed knowledge of underwater acoustics, oceanography, USW systems, submarine mission sets and tactics. You will act as the NUWC lead for all TACO analysis collaborations with university affiliated research centers (UARCs), federally funded research and development centers, academia, and other warfare centers.
