Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in a contract-to-permanent position. Based in Middleborough, Massachusetts, this role offers an excellent opportunity to grow within a dynamic and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will handle a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations.
Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and timeliness.
Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are up-to-date and accurate.
Manage the coding and processing of invoices in compliance with company procedures.
Utilize QuickBooks to maintain and update financial records.
Handle payroll processing, ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time.
Review accounting data to ensure compliance with established policies and regulations.
Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
Assist in preparing financial reports as needed by management.
Maintain organized and secure financial documentation for auditing purposes. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and its applications in daily accounting tasks.
Familiarity with bank reconciliations and invoice coding processes.
Experience in payroll processing and compliance with payroll regulations.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong organizational skills and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
