Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to support a growing operation in Canton, MA. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of diesel and non-diesel vehicles and equipment, ensuring everything runs safely and efficiently.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working independently, and keeping equipment in top condition.
?Pay & Schedule
Middlesborough, MA
$30 - $40/hr (based on experience)
Afternoon shift starting at 12 noon
Overtime available (including occasional nights/weekends)
?What You'll Do
Perform preventative maintenance on diesel and non-diesel trucks and equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, including small engine repairs
Troubleshoot using computer diagnostics tools
Coordinate outsourced repairs with external vendors when needed
Maintain accurate repair records, work orders, and purchase orders
Ensure all vehicles meet inspection and registration requirements
Travel to job sites as needed to perform repairs
Communicate effectively with drivers and team members regarding equipment status
?What You Bring
2+ years of diesel engine repair experience
3+ years of overall mechanical experience
Experience with computer diagnostics (required)
Strong understanding of diesel systems and hydraulics
Ability to troubleshoot and work independently
Valid Driver's License (required)
Strong communication skills

CDL A
Experience with electrical systems and air brakes
Knowledge of DOT inspections (Level 1)
