Associate Scientist (Mammalian cell culture)

Kelly Science is seeking an Associate Scientist for a growing company located in State College, PA.

Salary: $50,000-60,000/year

Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Employment Type: Full Time; Direct Hire

Job responsibilities include:

Perform routine mammalian cell culture, including maintenance, passaging, and preparation for downstream applications.

Execute laboratory protocols with precision, consistency, and adherence to sterile technique and quality standards.

Accurately document procedures, observations, and results in accordance with lab and quality requirements.

Demonstrate strong attention to detail, including careful reagent handling, labeling, timing, and procedural accuracy.

Identify deviations, inconsistencies, or opportunities for improvement and proactively communicate observations to supervisors.

Adapt to evolving protocols or experimental needs while maintaining compliance and data integrity.

Support general lab operations, including inventory awareness, equipment upkeep, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications include:

Bachelors degree in cell biology or a related scientific field.

1+ years of relevant laboratory experience. Experience with mammalian cell culture under aseptic technique REQUIRED.

Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to follow protocols exactly while recognizing when results, conditions, or observations warrant escalation or discussion.
