Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal to contribute to a complex federal RICO case involving multiple defendants, including prominent law firms and financial organizations. This contract position offers an opportunity to work on high-stakes legal matters that require exceptional organizational and technical expertise. The role is fully Remote and demands meticulous attention to detail and a thorough understanding of federal court procedures. Possibly some court appearances here and there. Hours will flex each week too depending on the amount of work for that week.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate the preparation and submission of legal documents, including filings in federal court systems.

Manage eDiscovery processes, ensuring accurate Bates-stamping, indexing, and tracking of returns of service.

Oversee service of process across multiple states for over 20 individual and corporate defendants.

Ensure compliance with Rule 9(b) particularity standards and Rule 7.1 Corporate Disclosure Statements.

Handle electronic filing systems with expert-level proficiency, including CM/ECF platforms.

Provide administrative support for complex litigation matters, maintaining detailed records and tracking deadlines.

Facilitate communication between legal teams and external parties involved in the case.

Assist in forensic accounting-related tasks, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.

Monitor case progress and updates, ensuring all parties are informed and deadlines are met.

Support attorneys with trial preparation and courtroom logistics.

Requirements

At least 3+ years of experience in federal court litigation, specifically with filings in the Alfred A. Arraj Courthouse.

Advanced proficiency in CM/ECF electronic filing systems.

Strong knowledge of federal rules, including Rule 9(b) and Rule 7.1.

Proven ability to manage extensive eDiscovery processes effectively.

Experience coordinating service of process across multiple jurisdictions.

Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

Familiarity with forensic accounting and related legal procedures.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in high-pressure environments.
