Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Moorpark, California. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a crucial part in managing vendor payments, reconciling statements, and supporting accounts payable needs across multiple locations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your accounting expertise and Excel skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Process a high volume of invoices, averaging approximately 300 per week, with accuracy and efficiency.

Handle vendor relationships, ensuring timely communication and resolution of issues.

Provide accounts payable support to store-level operations, addressing inquiries and needs.

Perform comprehensive statement reconciliations and address discrepancies promptly.

Utilize Excel for data analysis, creating pivot tables, and managing large datasets.

Ensure proper coding of invoices and accounts to maintain accurate financial records.

Manage Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and oversee check runs.

Collaborate with internal teams to streamline payment processes and improve efficiency. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.

Proficiency in accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and reconciliation.

Strong knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check run procedures.

Intermediate Excel skills, including the ability to create pivot tables and analyze data.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume workloads efficiently.

Strong communication skills to maintain effective vendor and internal relationships.

Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals.

Familiarity with accounting software and systems is a plus.
