Eaton's IS VEH VGGP division is currently seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. This is a hybrid role. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the following Eaton locations: Athens GA, Roxboro NC, Southfield MI and/or Marshall MI.
The Sr Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for providing technical direction, execution, and oversight of tasks required to meet manufacturing engineering requirements for the design, development, and installation of production equipment, processes, and documentation to ensure a flawless launch. Utilize lean methodologies and statistical analysis to ensure long term capability and stability of new manufacturing equipment and processes.
Perform design for manufacturing and assembly (DFM/A) activities for both existing and new technologies. Implement and drive the standardization of equipment and processes across a global product line. Delegate and remotely manage plant activities necessary for successful new product launches. Manage the global manufacturing footprint for a product line consisting of multiple product families.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $113000 - $165000 a year.

Eaton announced, on January 26, 2026, the intent to separate its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company. What you'll do:
Provide technical leadership to the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) group and cross functional teams.
Provide all necessary technical input for developing cost and process estimates required by the RFQ process.
Plan, design, develop, and implement assembly and test processes for new and existing products.
Develop processes focused on improving yield, throughput, scrap reduction, error proofing, and ergonomics.
Manage projects including design for manufacturing, equipment acquisition, process development, system documentation, operator training, and problem solving for new product lines and equipment.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to fulfill all PROLaunch manufacturing engineering requirements (PFMEA, DFMA, flow charts, control plans, MVP&R, and operator instructions).
Coordinate installation and validation of new equipment for assigned PROLaunch NPD projects at manufacturing sites.
Lead problem solving activities such as 8D investigations and Six Sigma projects related to manufacturing issues.
Maintain awareness of cutting edge manufacturing technologies and evaluate their relevance to business needs and product strategies.
Lead strategic planning activities related to capital expenditures.
Provide support and direction to manufacturing engineers at global manufacturing sites.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Qualifications:
Required Basic Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
Minimum five (5) years work experience in a manufacturing environment including assembly operations

Lean Six Sigma Certification
General knowledge of metal machining/grinding processes and NC machine programming
APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) & PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) knowledge
ProLaunch knowledge (Phased Gate Process)
Knowledge of test equipment and validation methods
Skills:
Advanced knowledge of manufacturing operations
Excellent communication skills in English
Willingness to travel up to 25%
Demonstrated expertise in assembly processes; machining or grinding experience considered beneficial.
Strong leadership skills with ability to lead change in a matrix organization across multiple sites and customer locations globally.
Ability to manage manufacturing projects using Program and Project Management methodologies, processes, and tools.
Experience in developing equipment specifications and managing vendor selection.
Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
Proficiency in CAD design software and engineering tools
