Job Summary

IMI is seeking an Administrative Assistant local to our Watkinsville, GA area. This position will support our Safety Division and will ensure that the company complies and adheres to Occupational Health & Safety documentation recordkeeping regulations.

Essential Functions

The Safety Administrative Assistant will be responsible for assisting the company's Safety Division with a broad range of administrative duties, including documentation, data entry and office clerical duties.

Maintain an understanding of health & safety regulations as defined by federal, state, or local regulatory agencies, customers, and best industry management practices.

Assist with providing necessary training to employees to meet federal, state, local & company safety policies.

Participate in investigations of incidents and support Safety and Project Managers in completing all required documentation.

Complete new hire, random, and incident related drug screens.

Provide guidance to Project Managers with external 3rd party training platforms.

Assist with Fall Protection Inspection Program, complete equipment inspections & documentation and recordkeeping.

Assist with customer site visits and internal and external safety audits.

Must be able and willing to work from IMI's Watkinsville, GA based office.

Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Minimum of five years' work experience within a construction/general industrial environment.

Office/administrative work experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication and training skills.

Excellent computer experience, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Adobe, and internet-based systems.

Must be willing to obtain OSHA 510 and 511 and other necessary Safety certifications within first year or employment.

Knowledge and understanding of principles and practices for health, safety and environment in regard to industrial and construction management.

Knowledge and understanding of methods and practices for conducting workplace audits and investigations.

Knowledge and understanding of standard risk mitigation.

Understand, interpret, articulate, and apply policies, procedures, codes, and regulations.

Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

Stand or walk for long periods of time.

Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other objects.

Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.

Manual dexterity needed for repetitive tasks and operating standard operating equipment.
