Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Secretary to support attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment. This is a contract position based in Overland Park, Kansas, offering an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your organizational and administrative expertise. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing daily tasks such as drafting legal documents, handling correspondence, and maintaining schedules.

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, ensuring smooth daily operations.

Draft legal documents using provided templates, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Manage attorneys' calendars, scheduling appointments and coordinating meetings efficiently.

Handle inbound calls professionally, addressing inquiries and directing calls appropriately.

Prepare and manage legal correspondence with precision and attention to detail.

Utilize Practice Master software to track and organize case-related information.

Maintain confidentiality and uphold the standards of the legal profession.

Assist with general office duties, including file management and document organization.

Coordinate with clients and other stakeholders as needed to support case preparation. Requirements - Proven experience in a legal secretary or administrative role, preferably in a legal setting. - Strong skills in calendar management and scheduling. - Proficiency in drafting legal documents and correspondence. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for handling calls and correspondence. - Familiarity with legal software, such as Practice Master, is preferred. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. - Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail. - Capable of multitasking and prioritizing tasks in a dynamic environment.

The pay range for this position is $22 to $25. Benefits available to contract/contract professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
