As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support shoppers and store teams with courteous communication. You will document activity and use a computer and/or tablet as needed. At Allied Universal, you will work with a reliable, agile team that puts people first, innovates, and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to customers, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, common areas, corridors, entrances, and the exterior perimeter as assigned.

Observe and report suspicious activity, potential theft indicators, and/or policy violations; communicate concerns to site leadership and/or law enforcement as directed.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance with de-escalation and documenting actions taken.

Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, monitor access points as assigned, and coordinate with store teams regarding security-related concerns and service needs.

Minimum Requirements:

Customer service experience is preferred.

Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
