Summary
You will serve as a RIGGER SUPERVISOR in the PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT of SOUTHWEST REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CENTER.
Duties
Help
You will be responsible for rigging operations both in shop and shipboard, shipboard weight test of weight handling gear and weight bearing components, weight testing of 7 meter boat slings and SAR litters.
You will make decisions on priorities and plan the sequences of operations and work steps for groups supervised.
You will determine materials and equipment that will be needed and arrange for their requisition and coordinate required services from other shops.
You will assign work, inspect work in progress and upon completion to assure quality control, efficiency and safe operations.

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
Work is occasionally performed onboard ships.
Work is accomplished from ladders, scaffolding, and platforms, and where the parts of systems worked are in hard to reach places.
Frequently lifts, carries, and help setup tools, equipment and parts that weight up to 20 pounds.
Qualifications
