Summary As an Information Technology (IT) Specialist in the NASA Ames Research Center IT Directorate's office, you will be responsible for supporting the following duties: Service integration; customer relationships; strategic communications; Center planning committees representation; partnerships and agreements management; and other IT Specialist duties as assigned in the areas of CCIO Business Management, Customer Engagement, Service Integration and Center Delivered Services. Responsibilities Assist in providing service integration to meet Center customers' requirements through knowledge of existing and new technologies specifically offered or otherwise concurred with by Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Enterprise offices. Support relationships by engaging with customers to facilitate any matters with OCIO provisioned services. Working via direct contact, with organizational IT Points of Contacts (POCs), and/or use of strategic comms. Develop strategic comms for conveying directly or via the local Center Office of Communications (OCOMM), outreach of events, service notices and other key messaging in support of CCIO, tenant OCIO service lines and other OCIO awareness matters. Work alongside peers to assist in representing CCIO in Center planning, partnership development and change management committees, boards. Support working with partners, customers and OCIO stakeholders and Integrated Project Teams (IPTs). Support management of NASA internal agreements, working with partners, customers and OCIO stakeholders. Support the local NASA legal office in managing any external agreements assigned to the responsibility of the CCIO, and assist other OCIO offices and Center organizations with their agreement endeavors as needed. Develop proficiency in automation tools and incorporated automated workflows into daily duties to enhance efficiency and support mission aligned process improvement. Provide ancillary support to Center's Emergency Communications Center (ECC) preparedness objectives and other CCIO Consistent Role areas as needed. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for the GS-9, you must have: a) One year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level: Providing strategic communications and serving in committees, boards and integrated project teams; Working with internal and external customers to support the development, approval, changes, records management and follow-on compliance with IT agreements; Providing customer support in two or more of the following IT areas: service integration, customer relationship, networking, data center, applications, project management; OR b) Completed all requirements for a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree with (1) a major in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management OR (2) a major that provided a minimum of 24 semester in one or more fields of computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management, and that required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks. OR c) Completed 2 full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree with (1) a major in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management OR (2) a major that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more fields of computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management, and that required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks.
