Description

We are looking for a skilled Legal Assistant to join our team in Longmont, Colorado. In this role, you will provide vital support to attorneys and paralegals in a dynamic, detail-oriented services environment. This is a long-term contract position that requires exceptional organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the capability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Responsibilities:

Prepare, edit, and proofread legal documents and correspondence to ensure accuracy and a high standard of work.

File legal paperwork with courts and agencies, including utilizing electronic filing systems as needed.

Manage calendars by scheduling hearings, meetings, deadlines, and appointments.

Organize and maintain both physical and electronic client files to ensure accessibility and order.

Assist with document scanning, management, and record-keeping tasks.

Track deadlines and follow up on tasks to ensure timely completion.

Provide administrative support such as copying, mailing, and data entry to assist the legal team.

Perform additional duties as assigned to support attorneys and firm operations.

Requirements - Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Outlook, and familiarity with Adobe software.

Highly organized with effective time management skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.

Demonstrates reliability, professionalism, and dependability in work habits.

Capable of handling confidential information with discretion.

Prior experience in a legal or administrative support role preferred, along with familiarity with legal terminology and filing procedures.
