Responsibilities If selected, you will serve as a Supervisory IT Specialist providing information and litigation technology support for the United States Attorney's Office - Eastern District of Michigan. Typical work assignments will include: Supervising personnel in support of records and information management, case management analysis, intranet sites, law library, and documenting automation functions of the district. Managing the district case management system. Planning, designing, developing, testing, implementing, and managing the district intranet activities. Performing advanced and complex system designs, developing, testing, and implementing new applications to meet specialized, unique, or unprecedented needs. Preparing recurring and special management reports pertaining to the litigative and administrative operations of the office. Disseminating information within the district to ensure complete understanding of obligations and requirements associated with case tracking systems. Providing customer support services including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, and training in response to user requirements. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify at the GS-13 level, you must possess: GS-13: To be eligible at the GS-13 level, you must have: at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level. Specialized experience is defined as experience providing technical and analytical assistance in areas which support information management related to litigation; providing technical advice and assistance to resolve problems; identifying and implementing ways to improve production and increase the quality of the work; creating and coordinating litigation technology services including trial preparation in response to customer needs; or performing advanced and complex system designs, development, testing, and implementation of substantially new applications to meet specialized, unique, or unprecedented needs. Career Transition Assistance Plan (CTAP)-The CTAP provides eligible surplus and displaced competitive service employees in the Department of Justice with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies.
