JOB SUMMARY
ONEOK is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant II to join our Refined Products Regulated Operational Accounting team. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where collaboration and innovation are valued. In this role you will manage all aspects of refined products accounting from initial contract review, commitment tracking, invoicing, to review of the financial statements. This position involves close collaboration with scheduling, shipper services, and commercial departments and demands attention to detail, strong internal and external customer service skills, as well as effective communication.

Performs intermediate level of financial activities; analyzes and prepares related studies and reports for use in various accounting functions.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Analyze and/or prepare journal entries, reports, budgets, and records related to financial accounting, refined products accounting, or economic forecasting/budgeting
Perform calculations and/or analyses including but not limited to:
Volumetric/revenue tracking and reconciliation
Intercompany activity
Financial ratios
Various billing and related adjustments
Discounts
Variance Analysis
Appropriate Journal Entries
Account Reconciliations
Projections/forecasts
Assist in development and maintenance of applicable spreadsheet tracking files and/or distributed applications such as those used in finance and other accounting activities
Compile, verify, and/or prepare financial information including but not limited to:
Forecasted versus actual revenues
Governmental/regulatory reports
Invoices
Financial reports
Reconciliation reports
Quarterly income statements
Work with employees from governmental and/or regulatory agengies, auditing firms, management, and other in areas that may include accounting procedures, various financial reports, budgets and forecasts, billing adjustments, and tax preparation and reporting. Compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and appliable Regulatory Requirements.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or other related field with previous experience working in various accounting functions or equivalent combination of formal education and the following job related experience: Accounting
Work Experience
Experience with and knowledge of generally accepted accounting methods and procedures
Experience performing an intermediate level of accounting activities such as financial accounting, property accounting, account classification, or midstream refined products accounting
Proficient use of Microsoft Office Applications including Excel and Access.
Demonstrates strong analytical abilities that contribute to effective problem-solving and the identification of discrepancies within job responsibilities
Experience researching, composing, reconciling, and preparing reports, invoices, studies, and correspondence applicable to position
Experience reading and interpreting company correspondence, reports, accounting-related publications, income statements, contracts, ledgers, manuals, computer printouts, and legal documents
