What you'll do

Under staff supervision the Administrative Intern is responsible for tasks and projects that will be assigned. The projects will be designed to provide a quality learning experience to college students interested in a career in public health, healthcare, or healthcare management.

Ability to take direction, understand direction, ask appropriate questions in order to complete tasks

Ability to assess needs and requirements to complete tasks and projects

Prioritize work to complete tasks and projects in a timely manner

Ability to work with physicians, principal investigators, coordinators, and support staff in an appropriate manner

Maintain patient confidentiality as directed by the Bassett Healthcare policy and/or research subject confidentiality as directed by Institutional Review Board requirements

Performs other duties as requested and observed by supervisor or manager

What we need from you

Education:

Current college student enrolled in a major related to public health or healthcare, or recent graduate with a Healthcare Associate or Baccalaureate Degree in a field related to public health or healthcare, required

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking or standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met

Occasional crouching, grasping, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, stooping, fit testing

Frequent typing/clerical/dexterity, seeing/monitor/computer use, standing, visual acuity (color, depth, perception)

Constant hearing, taking, walking

Hazards:

Occasional bodily fluids/bloodborne exposure

Travel:

Occasional Travel - The job may require travel from time-to-time, but not on a regular basis

Pay Range

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement.

Pay Range Minimum:

USD $16.00/Hr.

Pay Range Maximum:

USD $24.00/Hr.
