A Taste of What You'll Do
As a District Sales Manager in our On-Premise channel, you will lead a high - energy team responsible for driving $15-$30 million in annual revenue across 150-300 accounts. You'll guide and inspire a group of talented sales representatives and floating merchandisers, developing their skills while ensuring our portfolio is represented with excellence throughout your territory. This role blends strategic leadership, people development, and hands - on market execution, giving you the opportunity to make a visible impact on business results.
You will build strong relationships with key independent on-premise customers, applying your industry knowledge to influence distribution, displays, and programming that support brand growth. With a focus on accountability and collaboration, you'll run effective sales meetings, lead territory planning, support program execution, and ensure your team has the tools to achieve their case and revenue goals. You will also serve as a culture - carrier, modeling Gallo's intrapreneurial mindset, championing innovation, and fostering a team environment grounded in ownership and performance.
Whether conducting team ride - withs, presenting monthly programs, onboarding new talent, or stepping in to support open territories, you'll be the person who keeps the district running smoothly. This role is a great fit for leaders who enjoy a balance of strategic direction and real - world field execution, all while developing the next generation of sales talent.
What You'll Need
High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 5 years of professional sales experience to include at least one year of Gallo wholesaler or affiliated or non-affiliated distributor experience that includes a holiday season reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree plus 1 year of professional sales experience with a Gallo wholesaler or affiliated or non-affiliated distributor that includes a holiday season reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
21 years of age or older.
Candidate is required to have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver's license based on the position's location within 30 days of hire.
Required to lift or move 45 - 57 pound cases of product.
Required to work weekends for special functions/events when needed.
Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
How You'll Stand Out
Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of wine sales experience to include at least one year of affiliated distributor experience that includes a holiday season; OR Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of retail and on-premise district manager experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
Knowledgeable in Gallo sales/merchandising standards, policies, and selling skills.
Demonstrated leadership aptitude and skill.
Completion of Fine Wine Training I certification; CSS and/or CSW certifications; strong communication, problem - solving, time management, and organization skills; demonstrated teamwork experience.

Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. In addition to the salary, this position may be eligible for bonuses, incentive plans, or participate in tasting room tip pools, as applicable.
This position will be based in the location(s) specified in the job posting and requires regular travel within your assigned territory. Occasional travel to company sites may be required as needed.
