Medical Receptionist

Description We are looking for a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our team in Pennington, New Jersey. In this long-term contract role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and detail-oriented experience. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of a medical office while providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities:

Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in process efficiently.

Schedule patient appointments and handle rescheduling requests promptly.

Answer and direct calls using a multi-line phone system, addressing inquiries or routing them appropriately.

Maintain and update patient records in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.

Assist with general front office duties to ensure the clinic operates smoothly.

Verify patient information and confirm insurance details during check-in.

Respond to questions regarding basic medical terminology or office procedures.

Coordinate with medical staff to ensure seamless communication and scheduling.

Monitor and manage the waiting area to create a comfortable environment for patients. Requirements - Previous experience in a medical front office or receptionist role.

Proficiency in patient scheduling and handling multi-line phone systems.

Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Basic understanding of medical terminology.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in medical administration are a plus. TalentMatch®
