Medical Promotional Review Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Promotional Review Specialist to join our team. This role requires serving as a medical representative within the Medical-Marketing-Legal (MML) review system, ensuring scientific accuracy and clinical appropriateness of promotional materials. The position involves working cross-functionally with Legal, Marketing, Medical, and Regulatory teams and focuses on conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

Provide critical review of promotional pieces to ensure medical accuracy, validity, and appropriateness of content in accordance with approved labeling, scientific data, and relevant laws and regulations.

Determine the appropriateness of data and references used to support promotional claims and marketing messages, offering proactive recommendations for alternative data or references where needed.

Collaborate with key cross-functional stakeholders, including other PRB reviewers and commercial team members, on issues related to promotional materials or claims.

Engage with commercial business partners early in the development process to enhance efficiency.

Work with the Medical Director for assigned products or therapeutic areas to increase efficiency, medical alignment, and mitigate risk.

Review, provide comments, and document verdicts for all assigned promotional materials within PRB workflow system based on deadlines.

Participate in PRB meetings as assigned and remain current with medical literature and data in assigned therapeutic areas.

Participate in relevant internal and external meetings and trainings on new guidance, regulations, and marketing strategy.

Essential Skills

2-3 years of experience in promotional review processes (PRC/MLR) preferred.

Expertise in reviewing medical literature and independently evaluating scientific validity and clinical appropriateness of promotional content.

Ability to clearly and concisely communicate scientific information.

Proven ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships across multiple disciplines.

Thorough understanding of the US pharmaceutical industry and healthcare landscape, promotional review process, and compliance requirements.

Strong organization and prioritization skills.

Ability to critically analyze and apply scientific data in a customer-focused manner.

Effective negotiation skills and ability to influence others.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

MD, DO, or NP with a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience (academic, clinical, or industry experience). A post-doctoral fellowship may be substituted for professional experience.

Detail-oriented with demonstrated editorial skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Work Environment

The role operates in a hybrid work environment with a mix of on-site and remote work, based in Plainsboro, NJ.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Plainsboro, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
