Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS ) has an exciting opportunity for an Entry Level Quality Engineer to join our team located in Huntsville, AL!

This position's primary duties will be supporting BDS programs, including Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) performing First Article Inspection (FAI), Corrective Actions, Non-Conformance Review (NCR) disposition, review/approving/interpreting engineering drawing requirements, approving work instructions, and interfacing with customers and stakeholders.

Position Responsibilities:

Integrates contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation

Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements

Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities

Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs

Performs analysis and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances

Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions

Performs benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor of Science from an accredited course of study in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry

Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite

Experience collecting and interpreting data

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance

Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action

Experience working with Non-Conformance (NCR) processes

First Article Inspection (FAI) experience

Experience reading, understanding, and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications

Experience presenting technical briefings to various audiences

Conflict of Interest:

Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.

Shift:

This is an on-site position that currently supports a 4x10 work schedule on Shift A Monday - Thursday 6:00AM - 4:30PM. Initial training and future support may occur on variable shift. This is at the hiring team's discretion and may change in the future based on business needs.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range: USD $ 69,700 - $ 94,300
