Description

Join my client's incredible facilities management firm as a Staff Accountant! They operate on a hybrid (2x in-person a week) schedule, have great work-life balance, and have great benefits!

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain accounting reports to support month-end close and financial statement preparation.

Perform accounts receivable and accounts payable functions to support timely cash flow.

Prepare month-end accruals to align revenue and expenses with the correct period.

Monitor recurring monthly revenue and maintain project-level profitability tracking.

Manage purchase order workflows and assist with vendor and client setup in the accounting system.

Ensure timely payment of invoices and maintain accurate financial documentation.

Identify opportunities to reduce costs, enhance revenue, and improve process efficiency.

Prepare documentation for external audits or requests from financial institutions.

Review financial statements for accuracy and compliance.

Support administrative tasks and paperwork as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Competencies

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

Exercises confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.

Demonstrated ability to organize workload and complete projects effectively.

Resourceful, proactive, and responsive to internal and external needs.

Qualifications

1-2 years of accounting or finance experience in a staff accountant role.

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.

Proficiency with accounting systems

Shows initiative, adaptability, and the ability to learn and grow quickly.
