Overview
ENGINEERING SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR (MIELS):
Bowhead is seeking Engineering Systems Administrators to support a customer in Stafford, VA. Support for the contract will consist of program management; logistics; asset management; engineering; customer service; research and development of new capabilities; test and evaluation; manpower, training, and personnel; new equipment fielding and training; financial management; information assurance; cybersecurity; and 24X7 enterprise services operations and sustainment.
Responsibilities
Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems and related software on prim and in the cloud.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and performance.
Install and maintain infrastructure services including: Servers, Storage, KVM, etc as required in support of enterprise operations.
Implement and manage security measures to comply with DoD/IC policies and regulations.
Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
Administer and support physical and virtual servers across multiple sites.
Ensure proper configuration and health of server hardware, including storage and compute resources.
Develop and implement scripts to automate system administration tasks.
Provide advanced support for technical issues escalated from lower tier administrators or end users.
Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Collaborate with other teams to support system integrations and new initiatives.
Assess system performance and scalability to ensure infrastructure can support future growth.
Qualifications
Associates degree, or five (5+) years' of practical experience in system administration management.
DoD 8570 / 8140 compliance or information assurance certification commensurate with technical objectives and services required within the task order.
Applicable software or hardware training and certifications commensurate with the technical objectives, services required, and IT environment specified.
Cloud certified.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED:Must currently hold a security clearance at theTop Secret level with eligibility for SCI / Counter Intelligence Polygraph. US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret clearance at this location.
