Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Peekskill, New York. In this Contract to permanent position, you will be responsible for managing accounts payable functions, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. This role provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization while enhancing your financial expertise.

Responsibilities:

Process and verify vendor invoices for goods and services, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.

Prepare and execute vendor payments in alignment with company policies and deadlines.

Address vendor inquiries, resolve payment discrepancies, and foster positive relationships.

Reconcile accounts payable transactions and statements to ensure accurate reporting in the general ledger.

Ensure adherence to internal accounting policies and stay updated on industry best practices.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of accounts payable functions.

Maintain accurate records of all payments and transactions in the financial system.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and workflow. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.

Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Dynamics.

Strong skills in invoice processing, coding, and check runs.

Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Excellent communication skills for vendor and team interactions.

Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Experience with case management tools is a plus.
