Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Lake Mary, Florida. This contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to contribute to our financial operations within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will excel at managing payment processes, resolving disputes, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed analyses of customer payments to identify discrepancies and determine appropriate resolutions.

Initiate and manage dispute resolution processes, ensuring timely follow-ups and accurate documentation.

Process customer credit balance requests efficiently and within established timelines.

Execute collection efforts to reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and minimize overdue accounts.

Generate and maintain delinquency reports on a regular basis for departmental review.

Provide clear updates to management on account activities and key developments.

Respond to customer inquiries promptly, delivering high-quality service to both external clients and internal teams.

Collaborate effectively with team members to foster a positive and productive work environment.

Adhere to workplace safety standards and prioritize a safe working environment.

Support special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned by management to meet organizational goals. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts receivable, including cash applications and commercial collections.

Strong knowledge of billing functions and payment reconciliation processes.

Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on resolving payment disputes.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for customer service and team collaboration.

Proficiency in using accounting software and tools to manage payment records.

Dependable attendance and a commitment to maintaining high performance standards.

Understanding of workplace safety practices and procedures.
