Job Title: Plumbing Technician

Job Description

As a Plumbing Technician, you will perform a wide range of plumbing services from simple faucet repairs to complex water heater installations and plumbing system replacements.

Responsibilities

Respond promptly to customer service calls and conduct thorough inspections of plumbing issues.

Accurately diagnose problems, offer effective solutions and estimates, and successfully close service sales.

With the necessary licensing, install and repair various plumbing fixtures including sinks, toilets, bathtubs, water heaters, garbage disposal units, dishwashers, and water softeners.

Conduct sewer and drain cleaning services in diverse environments such as basements, roofs, confined spaces, and close quarters.

Ensure thorough cleaning and restoration of work sites to meet pre-job conditions.

Prepare invoices, total costs of services/products provided, and collect payment while explaining the guarantee, both in writing and on the provided smartphone.

Essential Skills

A valid driver's license.

1+ years of experience in plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, or construction trade.

Full knowledge of plumbing systems and ability to perform duties effectively.

Good written and oral communication skills for effective customer service.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in client and co-worker relations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

A proven track record in the sale of plumbing products and services is preferred.

Excavation Certification through Competent Person Training (OSHA requirement) within the first year of employment.

Journeyman license or equivalent certification as specified by the state.

Backflow certification and OSHA 10, with client assistance available.

Customer-facing skills and a sales-oriented attitude.

Familiarity with plumbing materials and tools such as PVC, cast iron, and copper.

Work Environment

You will perform service plumbing work in both commercial and residential buildings. Expect to be on the road all day, responding to service calls. Shifts are scheduled from Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday, with consistent shift times once started. Clock in as soon as you leave your home each morning and earn 70 cents per mile traveled.

The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $200000.00/yr.
