Job Title: Melter

Responsibilities

Load cocoa powder into melter machines according to production requirements.

Lift and handle bags up to 50 lbs frequently.

Use computer interface to monitor machine weights, temperatures, and performance.

Document production data on paper or in the computer system.

Perform basic troubleshooting on equipment when issues arise.

Conduct quality checks before, during, and after machine runs.

Work in warm environments (up to 120°F during peak summer).

Assist with general production and warehouse duties as needed.

Maintain a clean and safe work area following food safety and quality guidelines.

Essential Skills

Experience in production or manufacturing environments.

Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly.

Basic computer skills for data entry and machine monitoring.

Comfortable working in high-heat environments.

Mechanical aptitude for basic troubleshooting.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Reliable attendance and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP).

Position 1:

Open to 1st or 2nd shift

1st Shift: 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM

2nd Shift: 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM

Position 2:

Open to 2nd or 3rd shift

2nd Shift: 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM

3rd Shift: 9:30 PM - 6:00 AM

Swing : $22.50

Grave : $23.50

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of American Canyon, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $23.50/hr.
