Job Title: ServiceNow Technical Analyst

Location: San Rafael, CA (Hybrid - onsite Tuesdays and Thursdays; otherwise remote)

Hours/Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 am to 5 pm

Compensation: $72-80/hr DOQ

Type: 10 month contract

Overview

The ServiceNow Technical Analyst supports strategic platform initiatives by combining strong business analysis capabilities with technical expertise in the ServiceNow ecosystem. This role partners with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into platform solutions, and support the implementation and optimization of ServiceNow modules. The position plays a key role in aligning ServiceNow capabilities with business objectives while ensuring stable and scalable platform performance.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements.

Translate business needs into ServiceNow workflows, configurations, and system enhancements.

Support the design and implementation of ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, ITOM, and service request workflows.

Create and maintain documentation such as process flows, user stories, and technical specifications.

Assist in testing, validation, and deployment of ServiceNow solutions across the platform environment.

Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for ServiceNow-related issues and enhancements.

Partner with ServiceNow platform teams and other IT groups to ensure technical solutions align with organizational objectives.

Qualifications

Required

5+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Technical Analyst, Administrator, or similar platform-focused role.

Strong technical and functional expertise within the ServiceNow platform.

Solid understanding of ServiceNow architecture, modules, and platform capabilities.

Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical specifications and platform solutions.

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to lead requirement discussions.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

ServiceNow certifications such as Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Implementation Specialist - ITSM (CIS-ITSM).

Experience supporting enterprise-scale ServiceNow environments or strategic platform initiatives.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and related tools.
