Job Title: Warehouse Material Handler

Location: Davenport, FL

Pay: $17.00/hr

What's the Job?

As a Warehouse Material Handler, you'll support daily warehouse and yard operations by safely receiving, moving, storing, and shipping materials. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, requiring attention to detail, safety awareness, and strong organizational skills.

Key responsibilities include :

Load, unload, move, and stage materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, carts, and by hand

Operate sit-down forklifts, stand-up electric lifts, and other material handling equipment

Receive inbound shipments by unloading trucks, inspecting for damage, verifying quantities, and stocking materials in assigned locations

Pick and palletize orders with multiple line items, including shrink-wrapping, banding, and staging for shipment

Count, weigh, and record materials moved or handled

Attach identifying tags or barcode labels and properly mark cartons, boxes, bundles, and containers

Follow all quality control guidelines and notify management of quality issues

Perform daily equipment inspections prior to use

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment (housekeeping)

Observe all company safety policies and attend mandatory monthly safety meetings

Ensure proper handling and secure transport of materials, including occasional loading of slide-side curtain trailers using straps, chains, binders, and runners

Use WMS barcode scanning technology to track inventory and movement

Control and account for materials to minimize loss or damage

This role frequently involves lifting heavy materials and working both independently and as part of a team.

What's Needed?

High school diploma or GED

At least 6 months of material handling or warehouse experience preferred

Forklift training or willingness to become certified

Basic computer and data entry skills (WMS experience preferred)

Basic math skills and understanding of units of measure

Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally more than 50 pounds

Comfortable standing, walking, bending, climbing, kneeling, and reaching throughout the shift

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Commitment to safety and quality standards
