Eaton's Aerospace Group is seeking a US Military Aftermarket Sales Leader. This position can be based at one of our Eaton locations or remotely within the US near a major airport. Travel is expected to be around 25% but can fluctuate to 50% at times. Relocation assistance is not available.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $141000 - $206000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:
The U.S. Military Aftermarket Sales Leader is responsible for leading and growing the company's U.S. military aftermarket business across the Army, Navy, Air Force, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), and major defense Primes.
This role leads a team of approximately six sales professionals and owns strategy, execution, and customer engagement across a complex defense aftermarket portfolio across 4 major Divisions, including spares, repairs, retrofits, depot partnerships, and public-private partnerships (PPP) programs.
The position serves as the senior interface to U.S. military customers and works cross functionally to ensure customer commitments, revenue objectives, and long term sustainment strategies are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, coach, and develop a team of U.S. military aftermarket sales professionals.
Set clear objectives, review performance, and build bench strength for future growth.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer focus.
Customer & Market Leadership
Serve as the primary senior level interface with:
o U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force
o Defense Logistics Agency (DLA)
o OEM and prime contractor partners (e.g., Boeing, Lockheed Martin)
Build trusted relationships with program offices, depots, and sustainment organizations.
Navigate and provide guidance on complex government acquisition environments including critical requirements of doing business with US Government (ex, DPAS, FAR/DFARS), depot sourcing and funding constraints
Business Strategy & Growth
Own and execute the U.S. military aftermarket growth strategy.
Drive transition from transactional spares and repairs to long term sustainment models, including:
o Performance Based Logistics (PBL)
o Depot partnerships (organic and hybrid)
o RMU / modification programs
Develop and manage a robust pipeline, converting opportunities into high quality order intake
Develop customer focused channel strategy, distribution and licensing partners
Share knowledge of government budgets, @types of funding, key military programs and contracting trends to guide strategic planning
Execution & Cross Functional Alignment
Partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, and Contracts in multiple Divisions to:
o Provide customer intelligence, demand forecasts, and operational performance feedback
o Resolve execution risks
o Improve on-time delivery and overall customer performance
o Support complex quoting, negotiations, and contract execution
Lead internal alignment during high-visibility customer issues or recovery situations.
Planning & Governance
Own input to annual operating plans, bookings forecasts, and risk assessments.
Provide clear communication to senior leadership on customer satisfaction, performance, gaps, and mitigation actions.
Represent the business in internal reviews and customer briefings.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Minimum 10 years of experience in aerospace and defense aftermarket, MRO, or military sustainment environments
Demonstrated experience leading or working closely with teams in a military or government-facing sales role
Minimum 3 years of direct people management experience
Ability to travel (up to 30-50%)
This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8U.S.C. § 1158.
Preferred:
MBA or advanced technical degree
Experience with Performance-Based Logistics (PBL), long-term sustainment, or depot partnership models
Background working with or alongside major aerospace Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs)
An existing security clearance, or the ability to obtain clearance if needed
Skills:
Deep familiarity with U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) customers, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), depots, and acquisition processes
Proven ability to lead through influence across cross-functional, matrixed organizations
Strong executive communication skills and customer presence
