Summary You will serve as serves as Junior Windows System Administrator within the Hopper Global Communications Center, performing at the entry/developmental capacity, providing basic support to the Windows server administration team, including beginning exposure to cloud technologies. This position is located in the HOPPER GLOBAL COMMUNICATIONS CENTER. Responsibilities You will develop a basic understanding of security compliance requirements, including Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). Assists with basic Azure tasks, such as user management and resource monitoring, under close supervision. You will focus on fundamental on-premises and cloud-based system administration tasks within a structured, supervised environment. You will participate in performing basic Azure administration tasks, including user and group management in Azure Active Directory. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following such as: 1. Provide basic support to the Windows server administration team, including Microsoft Azure cloud technologies; 2. Assist with server and workstation installations, configurations, patching, and basic performance monitoring; 3. Gain practical experience by following established procedures, troubleshooting common issues under supervision, and contributing to routine maintenance tasks; 4. Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows servers and workstations, both physical and virtual; 5. Support the application of software patches and updates; and 6. Learn and assist with troubleshooting basic system issues and alerts from monitoring tools, escalating complex problems to senior team members. Participate in managing user accounts and access controls within Active Directory and Group Policy; 5. Develop and utilize basic scripting solutions (e.g., PowerShell) to automate routine tasks; and 6. Contributes to the maintenance of system documentation.
