Job Title: Project Manager

Job Description

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for compiling everything needed for a successful field project. From the moment authorization is received to proceed, you will become the leader charged with ensuring the project's success.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage field projects to ensure successful completion.

Compile necessary resources and information for project execution.

Coordinate with engineering and design support, ensuring all mechanical and construction needs are met.

Estimate materials and labor for project planning and execution.

Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers, acting as a trusted advisor.

Support direct sales efforts and customer development.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in mechanical engineering and industrial construction.

Strong project management and construction management skills.

Experience with material handling systems, millwright services, or industrial installations.

CAD experience or ability to coordinate engineering and design support.

Estimating experience for materials and labor.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in mechanical systems, industrial construction, or manufacturing environments.

Experience in supporting or transitioning into direct sales or customer development.

Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

Willingness to develop long-term customer relationships and act as a trusted advisor.

Work Environment

Enjoy a family-friendly environment with lots of autonomy in how you spend your time. Whether you're onsite or in the office, you have the flexibility to get the work done. You will be allocated a company vehicle and gas card, with the need to be insurable. The leadership is hands-off, providing support as needed without micromanaging. There is flexibility for personal events or family functions, with profit sharing and tuition reimbursement as additional benefits. Most projects are within 50 miles, with occasional travel for projects every six months. The average project turnover is approximately two months, though this can vary.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hiawatha, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $57.70/hr.
