Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Mid-Career Mechanical Engineer with strong Stress Analysis experience. In this role, you will perform duties of stress analysis, design engineering, and drafting of tooling designs for both mechanical and electrical systems. You will participate in issue resolution, and develop solutions to technical problems of varying complexity while assuring sound technical content and timely closure. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of 3-D modeling design tools such as CREO/SolidWorks and MATHCAD. Must be a US Citizen; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

Professional experience using a 3D CAD system (Creo, NX SolidWorks, etc.)

Experience with mechanical tool design or other mechanical design elements

Experience with Stress Analysis software packages and hand calculations

Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, US Citizenship required

Desired Skills:

Experience working in cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues
Experience with the design and use of Mechanical Ground Support Equipment
Experience with Creo modeling
Active Secret security clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
