Systems Control is hiring a Supervisor, Electrical Testing to be responsible for leading a team of talented electrical test engineers, specialists, and technicians responsible for the electrical testing of our products. You will be responsible for the safety of the electrical testing team during day-to-day testing procedures in the facility and in live substations that require testing support. As the electrical testing supervisor, you will also be responsible for career growth and development planning for your direct reports.

A Day In The Life
Create and maintain workload schedules and priorities for Test Department personnel, for both in-plant and off-site Testing needs
Ensure team members are conducting work in accordance with the current quality manual, work instructions, quality and safety procedures, and standard work processes
Develop direct reports through daily, weekly, and annual coaching to build a highly productive and actively engaged workforce.
Promote and lead by example through participation in "My Ideas", Coach, Problem Solving, Lean, and other Continuous Improvement processes/initiatives, applying these principles within the team to drive out waste and reduce costs
Communicate and coordinate production workflow with other departments and area supervisors, while fostering a strong working relationship throughout the value stream
Lead in the development and implementation of departmental continuous improvement strategies, including reporting of key performance indicators and targets to improve
Maintain current test equipment and prepare justifications for new equipment needs
Conduct regular team updates to review performance and share information
Work safely in and around energized electrical equipment, adhering to all safety protocols and standards
Develop and maintain standard work procedures for any new equipment and new customer requirement
Work and interact with customers, in the plant and in the field, to develop and execute proper testing processes to meet customer requirements for all specified and installed equipment
Assist engineering in the correction of wiring diagrams and schematic drawings in order to meet customer design requirements
Guide production resources to correctly and safely apply power to electrical equipment
What will help you thrive in this role?
Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, electrical power certification or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 6 years of experience working with or around testing of electrical equipment
Have completed applicable NFPA and OSHA safety certifications
Highly motivated with strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive initiatives to produce results
Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to effectively align priorities to meet business needs
Develops and leads a Team who can work effectively under strict and varying timelines
Skilled at evaluating employee performance in a balanced and consistent manner, and in providing training, direction, and support
Adept at methodically analyzing problems and making quality decisions
Excellent communication and relationship building skills, readily mentoring across the organization
Ability to effectively interface with internal and external customers and suppliers
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
Understanding of 3-phase power principles, and function of electrical relaying devices
Knowledge of pertinent elements of the National Electric Code
Competent with Microsoft Office Programs: Word, Outlook, Excel
